Week One: Dr. Cameron Webb, VA 5th Congressional District
First up: Dr. Cameron Webb, Democratic nominee for Virginia's 5th Congressional district. Cameron Webb is a doctor and a lawyer, and lives in Charlottesville with his wife and two children. He worked in the Obama White House, helping craft the Affordable Care Act.
Dr. Webb, 37, is running against Bob Good. Good, who describes himself as a biblical conservative, beat the Republican incumbent in the primary for this seat. Good has had difficulty with fundraising, making this seat a high priority for Democrats to focus on. Webb was a clear favorite in the Democratic primary, winning two-thirds of the vote.
